Dr. Alfred A. Holston currently serves as Senior Pastor of Hope XPress Community Church in Atlanta, GA. He and Pastor Jo Ann Holston lead a ministry engaged in leveraging partnerships across the metro region to serve those citizens in need with a focus on homelessness and food insecurity among adults and youth. He continues to work through the non-profit Hope XPress, Inc. which provides free book bags and school supplies, workshops, and scholarships to at risk children in small towns in Georgia and other States.  Pastor Alfred has served as mentor to numerous boys from as far away as Ghana West Africa to the projects of Southeast Washington D.C. and Southwest Atlanta. For more than 30 years, Pastor Alfred’s has volunteered in areas that address the need of youth, homelessness, and food insecurity. Through collaborative efforts with faith-based organizations and non-profits in the Washington, D.C. and Atlanta area, Pastor Alfred has forged partnerships that help address the needs of those most vulnerable in our society. This passion led to forming strategic alliances with the Toco Hill Community Alliance; Stand-Up for Kids, Atlanta West Pentecostal Church and Liberty Baptist churches coalition against homelessness; Downtown D.C. Cluster of churches and other organizations and Compassion International which supports the needs of as risk kids in foreign countries.

Pastor Alfred A. Holston is a native Georgian.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the Fort Valley State University; his Master of Divinity from Howard University, and his Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary. Pastor Alfred is a retired federal executive with over 34 years of federal service where he led major Human Capital and Procurement initiatives on a Regional, National and International basis. He served and Vice President for Human Capital for the Chickasaw Nation Industries and is now serving as Senior Program Manager for the Katmai Alaskan Native Company. He has traveled and lectured internationally and is the recipient of numerous public and private sector awards.

Pastor Alfred & Pastor Jo Ann have been married for 51 years and are the proud parents of three (3) adult sons, and seven (7) grandchildren.
